A raffle and donations at the launch of ‘MaD SHRIMP’ netted £196 for Help 4 Heroes when The Attleborough Writers’ Group brought out their latest book on Saturday 2nd August at the London Tavern in Queens Square, Attleborough.

A great time was had by all as about a hundred people came to see their fifth book unveiled and enjoy the coffee and homemade cakes provided.  The purple and red theme had transformed the upper room and many people said what a splendid venue it was.  Balloons and flowers all helped to add to the air of celebration.

Some of the pieces in the book were written especially to commemorate the centenary of the start of World War 1.   Members of the group read them aloud in St Mary’s church, Attleborough on Monday during the day long thought provoking programme when the Nation gave thanks.

The book contains about forty short stories and poems ranging from mystery, romance, futuristic and amusing items. There are delightful line drawings to illustrate the pages by one of the talented members.

We would like to thank all our regular supporters and hope they catch a copy of our newest tales.

The books are now available in shops in Attleborough at £3.99 and on Amazon.  You can also email;
